[HOOD LINERS]

Top 10 Most Frequently Asked Questions

1. WHAT ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR MY RANGE HOOD?

Most of our hoods will require a 120 volt, 60 Hz., AC only, 30-amp, fused dedicated electrical circuit. *NOTE* Observe all governing codes and ordinances. Ensure that the electrical installation is adequate and in conformance with the National Electrical Codes, ANSI/NFPA 70.

2. WILL I NEED A MAKE-UP AIR SYSTEM FOR MY HOOD?

Local building codes may require the use of makeup air systems, when using ventilation systems greater than specified CFM of air movement. The specified CFM varies from state to state. Consult your HVAC professional for specific requirements in your area.

3. HOW FAR FROM THE COOKING SURFACE SHOULD MY LINER BE MOUNTED?

We recommend a Min of 29” and a Max of 31” above the cooking surface to allow for the best possible exhaust performance.

4. HOW DO I DETERMINE THE CORRECT SIZE LINER FOR MY SPACE?

The liner should at min. hang over the front burner by 3” and 6” on each side of the range if your cabinet space allows for it? For example if your cooktop is 36” in length the best way to maximize the performance for your liner would be to use a 47”-48” length liner to maximize the capture area.

5. WHAT TYPE OF LIGHTING WILL COME WITH MY HOOD LINER?

We use a high grade, dimmable, 15,000 hour rated, waterproof LED with a wide area lens. The kelvin color rating is 2750 which is a soft white ambient light that is easy on the cooking surface and provides ample lighting for the area even when not cooking.

6. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN MY FILTERS?

Your stainless grease filters should be washed in your dishwasher approximately every 30-60 days depending on usage. Clean stainless filters in the dishwasher using a non-phosphate detergent. Discoloration of the filter may occur if using phosphate detergents, or as a result of local water conditions this will not affect filter performance.
